I had an epson stylus photo r230 printer given to me but the load up disc to install it has been misplaced and now im trying to get a download with no luck, i dont want to start with a new printer because this one still works well and i have purchased all new ink cartridges for it. Is there an available driver for my printer.

Reset your printer. Look for printer resetter , its a utility third party program. Or in search of web browser just key in " epson reset software"

Try this: First check which cartridge(s) are not being recognized. In my case where I replaced all three color cartridges, two were recognized right away but one was not. You find out by sending a print request to the printer and looking at the ink cartridge levels diagram in the dialog window. In my case two of three were fine but one had a red X on it. So I removed it and cleaned the contacts with alcohol then rocked it in the slot after pressing it in. It was recognized and the charging process began as normal.
