I have a Toshiba 46" LCD Model: 46RV525U that was given to me. The fuse blew and the previous owner removed and lost it. I'm trying to obtain a new fuse but need to know if it's Ceramic or Glass. T 8.0A H/250V is on the board. See photo of the missing fuse http://www.haygoods.net/fuse.jpg
You can replace it with a regular glass T 8.0 amp fuse 250V and you will be in specs with the original.
Found a local TV guy that told me that I could do that, just use a 10A and it would be fine.
No dont put a 10A in thats very dangerous because if there still is a problem that fuse wont blow untill it gets in excess of 10Ampps and that can cause alot of items such as resistors and diodes get smoked causing alot of extra damage. always use the same rated fuse if it then blows again the power supply has a short but installing a larger amp fuse can cause further damage in the event of a short.

Look at one of the power supply output connector pin, there should be 5vdc all the time the minute you plug the TV into the wall outlet, if you do not have the standby 5vdc, nothing else will work. No sign of burnt parts, bad capacitors? You can get parts here: http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=Toshiba+37HL67+&p=2&stock=all
Please post feedback what you find.

I also have this problem on a set that is a year and a half old. The repair man was here yesterday with some parts that didn't fix the problem...he said the screen needs to be replaced! Luckily I bought from Costco, who extends the warranty by a year, so we won't be out any money. They will be getting back to me with what they are going to do...repair or replace...depending upon what is most cost effective for them. I will be trying to purchase extended warranty for this TV, if repaired, or new TV, if replaced. Too many horror stories out there on all brands not to.
