Used self cleaning process on my oven yesterday and today the oven will not turn on, we keep getting message to unlock the oven door even though it is. What can we do?

The oven gets extremely hot during the self-cleaning mode... the door switch might have got stuck in locked position, or broken in locked position (to be replaced), let's hope it's just stuck...which you'll need to work the mechanical lock-unlock latching back and forth to hopefully unstick....and if that doesn't work just re-run self-cleaning process but this time let the oven cool completely before unlocking the door. Hope this helps.

Locked oven door

OK, when you go to use the "Self Clean" function, what happens is special door "Interlocks" engage to absolutely ensure they door can in NO WAY come open during and for some considerable time later. You see the "Clean" is heating up to so,e absurd temperature, about 700 -900 Degrees! This basically BURNS everything up. So when this happens, the Doors stay looked, if you hit cancel and it DID NOT do anything, then try removing from Power, totally for a while and reconnect. If it did do the clean, then often this procedure burns out the thermistor inside, and then the doors stay closed too. You will have to check, which one. Also it may have "Glitched" the controller. Hopefully removing from power will work.

6. (F92, 93 & 94) Check oven door Light Switch - if open, replace Switch.

7. If all situations above do not solve problem, replace EOC.

F90 is a door lock code, Try this...
unplug the range.
wait 1 minute.
turn the range back on,
then while holding in on the oven door.
start another self clean.
wait 2 minutes.
then cancel the self clean.

do not release the door until the door lock light goes out.

Oven door locked.

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

Dacor CPO230, can't get lock to engage for self cleaning. I follow step clean symbolcomes up door lock moves into locked position then beeping starts and the word door flashes and the lock opens up.

For some reason the oven thinks you have a door that is not shut all of the way. Check the locking slot to make sure that there are no obstructions. Make sure that you are only doing one oven at a time, and not trying to cook in the other. Make sure you have no racks in the oven. Try pushing lightly on the door when the lock engages. For some reason your lock isn't engaging fully and that's why door is flashing. Good Luck
Below is from the owners manual for your oven.

Oven does not self-clean Door not shut tight Check for obstructions. Close door tightly
Oven set for delay timed cleaning Oven will start to self-clean at preset time.
Press CANCEL/SECURE to return to
normal operation
Double ovens only: Other oven is on. Turn off other oven.

Self-cleaning gas oven

Door lock motor has probably failed.....Self clean on many
ovens can be a self destruct mode. Door latch motors, sensor
probes and even the electronic controls can be destroyed by
this operation. On many freestanding stoves the lock motor is located in the right rear (looking from the front) with a long rod connected to the lock. remove the motor and unhook the rod from the motor cam. Sometimes bending a coat hangar into a hook and sliding from the right side into the lock you can unlock the door.
