I have an MC70 with the qwert keyboard. It's not very convenient for my line of work so I changed the keyboard for a numerical one of a broken mc70 I had around. It starts fine and receives input from the keyboard, but the input is not the same as the key ie I press 1 and on the PDA it says W. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Hi,The fastest way to do this is to download the DataWedge software free form the Motorola website. You can then scan code directly into any file that excepts text based input. To get the text file on to the unit i would recommend an SD card. or setup Active Sync to sync a Pocket Excel File to your desktop. If you need some software writing with some specific requirements. Please call Pen Mobile (google us)
you need to compoletely re load the ocrrupt O/S. You cannot do this with access to the correct files and certificates. We can do this for you in house if you send it in for inspection. Please contact me [email protected] 01179064587
Hello is_bsp, which scanning application are you using? You could test the functionality by installing the manufacturer's application called DataWedge, provided here for download http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=12743&sliceId=&dialogID=190394078&stateId=1%200%20190388513
Does it respond to keyboard entry? If not, check to see if the "lock" icon on the screen is in the locked position. It's real easy to accidentially lock the device. If it is, just click on the lock and confirm that you want to unlock.
The next few can be a problem if the screen is not responding, so you'll need to figure out the keyboard equivalent:
You may also want to check the system settings. I believe there is a setting that will enable you to "turn off" the touch screen function.
Finally, try a touchscreen alignment in the system settings.
