Add memory to acer aspire 5720

Acer Aspire One?

They didn't include replacing, or upgrading Ram Memory in a manual.
Why?

Because you have to disassemble the laptop.

They (Acer) do not deem it a task for a user.

by looking at this laptop it should have 2gb ram in it.. unless you need 4gb.
to do that take it to some one like a PC store.

They are located on the base of your laptop. Here is a link to the manual for your laptop.
It shows where it is and how to change/add the memory.
The drivers for your laptop are there also

The ram location is right where you are looking. There are two memory slots available for ram. They are staggered one on top of the other. Release the side pins and the module will pop up at a 45 degree angle . Pull the module out in the direction and replace at that angle, then push the module down in place. You may only have one memory slot filled at this time, Therefore there would be an empty slot to fill.

Your not alone in this type of problem. When it comes to computer (laptop especially) they usually have a "Max allowed ram" most times its listed in the back of the manual in small print. Its a way to keep people buying new computers (if your into the conspiracy theories)
Chances are even a bios upgrade would not fix your problem. Mostly BIOS upgrades add support for new boot options, plug and play support, and fixes to bugs in older versions.

You can check aspires/acers website for updates www.acer.com
If they have an update it will comes with documentation as to what the update does.

There are 4 screws holding the cover on the bottom of the computer that allows access to the RAM modules. (This is the same cover that also covers the fan. The same cover with the ventilation slots.)

Simply remove the screws and lift the cover by the indent to the right of the battery lock.

no its not easy to access original one but you can add addition RAM to your lap.
on bottom of your lap you can find screws for a small rectangle area. just open it and there is the place where you can put additional RAM

Below the Notebook There will be access flap to put the ram. May even you need to Keyboard for few models.
