You can't wire an equalizer to this amp unless you only want to equalize one source, because it doesn't have a tape monitor function.

You can do the wiring yourself. there is no problem with that.
just cut the cable and wire the new tips simple and quick.
or you might spend time looking for the right adapter in shops.

Sony amp ta fe370 is no producing sound at the speakers but there is sound in the headphones.

Did inserting the headphone Jack cut the speakers off before it stopped working? If it did then you should look at the headphone jack socket inside the unit. The terminals could be either bent out of shape, broken or just dirty.

Wires connect stereo speaker

It all depends what connections you have on the back of your TV? You should look to see if there are two red and white audio "out" sockets. Don't try to connect via audio "in". If you have an HDMI connection on both TV and amp that will also do the trick. Also SCART sockets have audio out connections. You can get adapter leads to connect it all up.

Wires connect stereo

Assuming that your TV has a headphone socket, the easiest way is to connect a lead from the headphone socket on your TV to a spare line (or auxiliary) input on the Sony amp. You will need a 3.5mm stereo plug to twin RCA plug cable, long enough to reach both pieces of equipment. Most electrical stores should have a suitable cable available at modest cost :o)

Need connecting wiring for sony am/fm jx 285 connecting to the sony stereo amp ta-ax 285

If you are trying to connect a ribbon cable tuner to a conventional RCA input terminal amplifier, it won't work because the ribbon cable carries the signal output as well as the data for frequency synthesis which is determined by the processor located in the amplifier ( that is supposed to work with that type of tuner), and the data buss for the buttons on the front of the tuner.

For the time and effort to put into a workaround, it is cheaper by far to get a tuner that will work with your amp. If cosmetics are not an issue, brand of tuner will not matter as their outputs are "Line Level" or nominally 1 volt peak to peak..

I have a sony ta-fe370 amplifier. I bought it 5 years ago. 4 years ago it stopped working. I would now like to repair it. The problem is that it turns on and the power light comes on and so does the...

The problem is hard to track down, but fixable. You need to determine if the pre-amp has failed or the power amp. To determine which try this: Connect a device which plays music and turn the volume control fully up! You can sometimes hear the sound better via a pair of headphones. If you can hear any signal or music breaking through, then the pre-amp section is OK. If you can't it might not be. If you can hear faint music then it will be the main power amp to blame. Now because you have lost both channels you must only investigate devices (such as IC's) which have both channels running to them. Some amps have one big power amp IC that does the work. So if that goes it takes the sound with it. Have a look at whatever is on the big heat sink first, that will determine a lot of your future actions.
