This remote control is for use with Toshiba 22AV500U TV. It is originally coded to use with this TV, yet other TVs also can be programmed with this remote contorl. There si no specific user manual for this remote control itself. All codes and proceedings are with the user manual for the above mentioned model Toshiba Tv. If you haven't that manual, send your email address to me by Fixya. I'll send a copy of that manual to you by return mail. The reason you can't program your remote is because the CT-90302 isn't a universal remote control. This remote only works with Toshiba TVs with the following model numbers:

26AV52U, 37RV530U, 45RV530U, 52RV530U

I had the same problem, and the solution above/below that says to use code 018 worked for me. Yeah!!!
