RCA projection TV Can you help me with my tv? I have posted before with this problem. I am hopeing for more helpful info. I have a RCA projection tv. It worked fine. I turned it off and later came back to watch tv. When I tried to turn it on all I got was a light turning on and off 3 times in a row. You can hear a clicking sound each time but the TV doesn't turn on. I have the parts diagram service sheet for my tv. CTC178 series The model no. is P46734B4. I have looked at the diagram but a flyback isn't listed. Could it be called anything else? I would sure appreciate your input. thank you Lyn

If your tv is RCA P52926 then it is rear projection tv that does not have a Lamp inside, this rear projection tv three picture tubes to make picture/ image on front screen. I disagree with previous expert given info about Lamp in this tv. Since tv is an old model so it might got problem in deflection circuit or power supply stop working properly that is why tv is not turning On to show you picture. Local tv repair shop will help you to get it fix.
No worries, you can get the mini-DVI (for macbooks) to rca adapter. You can purchase this on store.apple.com for $19. Just plug the yellow RCA wire into this and VOILA! Mac to TV! You might also try Ebay.com. They usually have them for less and shipping is usually fast (if you buy in the US and make sure they have decent feedback...my rule is no less than 90%) I hope this helps you! Don't forget to vote. On Fixya, we rely on your feedback. I posted a picture of the mini-DVI to RCA adapter below:

Hi,
I repaired an RCA 52" TV. I found two capacitors on the board that were bad. They were bulged on the top. This seems to be a common problem on many projection TV's. Try searching this website using the model number as your keyword.
Hope this helps,
Dan
