Juki DNU-241HU industrial sewing machine picking up bobbin thread but not stitching. What do I look for to fix this?

Question edited for clarity.

Back to basics. Unthread the machine. Remove the bobbin and make sure is is correctly located and lock. Re-thread the top end. Make sure the thread is through the eye of the needle and has a long tail.

My juki sewing machine is not threading right it cuts the understich as it goes thru and leaves a big pile of thread on the bottom when back stitching what's wrong with it?

it appears the basically the needle thread tension is not set right

Make sure you are threaded correctly. Also be sure that your bobbin is sitting in the casing correctly. If the timing is right and the hook is catching, the thread may not be pulling through correctly. Clean your machine as well. Make sure your tension spring is clean and doesn't need to be tuned up.

try adjusting the top thread tension and see if that helps
also try changing the thread.
also change the needle--make sure it's the right needle for the fabric
being sewed.

Why won't my Bernina Activa 140 sew the blind hem stitch?

Are you absolutley sure you're not getting a problem with stitch formation on, for example, wide zig-zag. Check again, using a different colour top and bottom and make sure that the stitch is being formed properly with only the top colour on top and bottom colour on the bottom. It sounds as though the bottom loop is not being picked-up by the hook properly. Make sure you've thoroughly cleaned-out any fluff under the stitch-plate and remove the hook/shuttle and give the hook race a good clean and give it a single drop of oil, even if you've got the lightweight part-plastic hook/shuttle fitted.

My Juki DL 5555 won't pick up bobbin thread

It is possible that you have the bobbin in backwards. Try inserting the bobbin so that the thread pulls in the opposite direction than it currently does. Also, sometimes you have to really push the bobbin case in to make sure it snaps into place. Other than that, you may have a dull needle...try replacing it, or it just may need an overhaul.
