Bissell momentum canister vacuum retractable electrical cord not retracting

Either the cord inside is caught on something or the retraction spring is broken.
Try to pull it out further, if you can feel any spring-back then most likely the cord is caught, maybe on itself.
Either way, the canister will probably have to be disassembled to fix the problem.

Holman retractable hose reel won't retract garden

The Booklet says "if the hose retraction wheel is stuck and the hose is fully extended, the wheel still have movement. Grip the hose close to the guide hole and gently pull.
The retraction wheel will give you enough movement to unlock itself before you slowly allow the auto retraction wheel to wind the hose back into the unit."
They also say when walking the hose back to the unit, turn the tap off and press the lever on the watering gun to release pressure on the hose. This makes the retraction to the hose reel a lot easier and prolongs the life of your hose reel.

Want to cancel my bid

Hi,

Please do the following
1 Use the bid retraction form to cancel a bid you have made. Make sure your bid meets the criteria for a retraction. Retract if the bid price you entered was wrong, and then correct the bid amount.

2 Retract your bid if the auction description was changed and you no longer want the item as it is now described. Use the retraction form if you need the reach the seller for some reason and their contact information is invalid

3 Retract your bid that was made before the final 12 hours of the auction, as the option will not be available after that time. Retract bids made during the last 12 hours, only within an hour of the bid

4 Use the retraction feature as rarely as possible, as the number of times you have retracted a bid will appear on your feedback numbers.

I have a Kenmore Vacuum cleaner 116.24212. The retractable electric cord won't retract. How can I fix it?

The retraction mechanizm is likely jammed. Mostly likely the cord has jumped it's groove in the retraction wheel/hub. If you are good with tools there is a 70% chance you can get it to work again with a basic DCR operation. Most mechanical problems can be solved using this simple rule: Dissassemble Clean and Reassemble.

CAUTION: The retract mech has a powerful spring inside, avoid exposing. Most retract mech units are rivoted closed so consumers won't poke thier eye out.
CAUTION: UNPLUG THE UNIT

Open the unit from the bottom and the top lid of the canister should come off.
The retract mech should be obvious as it is where the cord comes into the unit.
Look for the cord being bound by iteslf either on top or underneath (lie two cordes in one groove)
Remove any binding.
If you see no debris or obsticals for the cord to retract (where it is getting stuck)
Your spring could have sprung!
Do you feel and retract at all?
Can you locate the releae mechagnism?
Does the Release button seem to function? When Pressed it should take pressure off of the cord hub.
The retract mech may need replaced. Overall the cost will be about $60 for parts.

Want to retract a bid have doubled up on an itam

Here's how to retract your bid:

1. Click the "site map" link at the bottom part of the page.
2. Click the "Bid Retractions" link located under the "Buying Resources" heading near the bottom of the left-hand column. You may be asked to sign in.
3. Enter the item number, and select the reason for retracting your bid.
4. Click the "Retract bid" button.

You can find more information about retracting a bid here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-retract.html
But please be sure that there is still more than 12 hours before the listing ends because if there is less you will no longer be able to retract the bid.
But you can only retract bids and not buy it now items. With regard to buy it now items, you will need to contact the seller and ask the seller to file the cancel transaction dispute.

Hope this helps. :)
