How do i find the wireless network key for my router

I think you need to check the wireless settings of your router first. If your wireless network is secured then make sure that you have the correct network key. The try to connect Kidle to the wireless network

To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.1.1, the Default username is blank and the password is admin. Go to the Wireless Tab select Wireless Security under the Security Mode you will see there Network Key or Security Key. If the wireless network that you are trying to connect, is unsecured then you can connect without the WEP key.
but if the wireless network is secured then you will need the KEY or the password for the wireless network. Without the key you won't be able to connect to the secured wireless network.
If you have the router then you can check the wireless settings of the router and find the wireless network key.

If yes then you can open the router set up page on
that computer.

First, go to your router's ip address (192.168.0.1).
Then, login to your router (default username: admin default pass: blank or admin)
There, under tools or network security or similar to that sort, look for your network/WEP key. There, you should be able to find your network key to access the router's network, and even change it if needed.'

You need to customize your wireless router:

Here's how to do it.

1. On your main computer, open Internet Explorer and type http://192.168.1.1
2. It will ask you for username and password. No username and the password is admin
3. Go to Wireless tab. Change the Wireless Network Name (SSID) to your own name or any name. Click Save Settings on the bottom
4. Now go to Wireless Security sub-tab. Choose WPA-Personal for the Security Mode. Type a password on the WPA-Shared Key box. That will be your wireless security key. Click Save Settings.

Then you can try to reconnect to wireless network, you should see your new network name there with security.

You did mention that it was working fine for several weeks suddenly your wireless computers stopped functioning and your getting a message that the security key in incorrect. This only means that its either your entering the wrong encryption key or someone changed the previous security key to something else. By the way what type of wireless security did you configured on the router initially was it WEP or WPA, if its WEP(64 or 128 bit) and your using a bulit-in wireless adapter on your laptop you need the default WEP key because the passphrase only works with a Netgear WLAN Utility.

Know if your having difficulties accessing the setup page of the router you may need to check on your browser settings, turn off the pop up blocker and firewall temporarily, also try another computer. Now if all fails you may need to press that reset button on your router and set it up again.

Just reset the router (there should be a reset button somewhere on it) it will default to open system. Then go back in and select WEP with 64 or 128 bit security. Generate your KEY and next time it connects enter the KEY. You should be set to go!
