There is normally a special rice bowl, which looks like the lid upside down which is used for rice cooking and should be placed at the highest point in the upper steam bowl and place the lid on top. for 1 cup of white regular rice, use 1 1/2 cups of water, steam for 45-50 mins for 1 cup long grain rice use 1 2/3 cups of water, steam for 50-55 mins for 1/2 cup of brown regular rice, use 1 cup water and steam for 42-45mins

My rice cooker not cook rice properly leave some waterand un cook rice. What shuld I do steamer is working good.

Are you maybe putting too much water in. usual amount is equal parts water to rice. Except for brown where you need an extra half cup water to each cup of brown rice. Remove the steamer tray, of course when cooking rice.

Master gourmet rice & slow cooker manual

I need one as well. I know the basics of slow cookers, my question isn't there. I do know to start the slow cooker part early, it has a knob for off-low-high-warm so I just follow basic slow cooker recipes & instructions. I do know to push the lever down on the rice cooker side to start cooking. Since I misplaced the instructions basically I need to know how much rice/water to put in & about how long it takes to cook it, but I'd like the manual anyway. master gourmet rice & slow cooker model #02241

I have just purchased a Russel Hobbs steamer (model 14453) A rice bowl is included but the instruction booklet doesn't tell me how to cook rice! Advice please. CG

Hahahaha!
Ask Asians to guide you to cook rice!
Every time you put rice and add water, level the rice under the water, measure the water by using ur FiNGER!
Use ur mid finger, make sure the first line in ur mid finger is the LEVEL of water.
Dip ur mid finger untill it touches the TOP of the RiCE, the water level must be in the first line of ur MiD FiNGER!
Then ur ready to cook the yummy rice!
Enjoy!

What is the rice to water ratio on cooking brown rice in wolfgang pucks rice steamer?

Usually you want to put one dose of rice for 2 1/2 dose of rice. Brown or whole grain rice will need a little more water and will need to cook for a little more time. Hope that helps!

hi!

you put the rice inside and just add water the same place where the rice is.

just remember that the ratio for rice is 1:1.

1 cup water = 1 cup rice. make sure you use the same cup.

for brown rice 1:2. 1 rice: 2 water

hope this helps

cheers!

Cooking Rice

Ironically, I came to this site with the same questin you posted. I just found my manual. This is how tha manual tells you to steam rice:

Place one of the steamer baskets on the steamer base.

Place 1 cup of rice and 10 ozs of water in the rice bowl.

Place the rice bowl on the steamer basket and cover the steamer.

Set timer for approximately 32 minutes, depending on your taste.

Good luck!
