Dear Remove your Hp driver for your Add/Remove Program and install again, may be your scanner  driver is corrupt.

For the driver please click hear select your Operating system and download the driver.

click "Drivers and Software" then select OS "Windows XP" then download "WIAdriverN670UN676UN1240U.EXE"

Install the WIA driver on your Windows 7 OS and used only mspaint to capture image on the scanner


TWAIN doesn't work on Win7 but WIA still does

(note that the Vista driver is a basic driver and does not include the HP software so the buttons on the scanner will not work. You will need to use Paint, Photo Gallery or Windows Fax and Scan to acquire scans. In Paint, the command to launch will be File > From Camera or scanner. Win7 may allow similar functions with the generic OS driver but I can't tell if the driver is TWAIN or WIA or a different one not supported in Win7.)

The computer is looking for a "Twain" device. Although the printer is correctly installed, to scan a document or picture, you need a program to associate with the scanner and identify the "Twain" device. To do this, open up any photo software or even MS Paint. Under the File tab there should be an option to Import or Import from a device i.e. camera, scanner. This is the option you want. Select your HP Scan Pro as the Twain device and you can scan from your computer. The other way would be to open HP Imaging software package that came with the machine and configure your scanner from within the program. Either way works its just a matter of preference. Before you toss the scanner out, try uninstalling the Twain driver for the scanner and re-installing it. Go to Epson.com, select your country, select drivers & support, scanners and choose your scanner. This way, you will get the latest twain driver. If the new driver doesn't work, then the scanner may be toast, but I don't think so.

The instruction to use scanner in HP Laserjet 3050

Click Start, click All Programs or Programs, and then click HP. Click HP LaserJet
3050/3052/3055/3090 all-in-one, and then click Scan.

Click Setup.

Select Change the destinations that show up on the all-in-one control panel when I press
the Scan To button, and click Next.

Select Allow me to scan by pressing the Scan To button on the all-in-one....
Move the destinations from the PC window to the All-in-one window.
