Restoring a Netgear Router to Factory Default Settings
Symptoms: Cannot access the NETGEAR router or access point web interface login screen, or
You have forgotten/lost the password to log into the NETGEAR router or access point (NOTE : This refers to the password required to access the devices administrative interface. If you have forgotten the password required to access the wireless network, you should refer to this article instead).
Are you restoring back to Factory Setting simply because you forgot the password? Please tell me NO. If so, that is not what you want to do. Resetting to Factory Settings will cause you to lose all your documents, music, pictures & videos unless you have them backed up somewhere outside of the computer. If all you need is the password removed, try turning off your machine, then turn it on and immediately hit the F8 key repeatedly until you see the SAFE MODE option. Select Safe Mode and let it boot. When the log in screen appears you will see the account for which you forgot the password and the Administrator account. Select the Administrator account (hopefully you didn't password protect it and forgot it also). If you log in successfully with the Administrator account click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts. When you are in the User Accounts select the account for which you forgot the password, then select the option to Remove Password. Now reboot your machine.

Go to system settings and the click on restore default settings.
If that doesn't work try this: Go to System Settings under Settings in
the Home Menu. Click Restore Default Settings. The password should
then be 0000 or 9999.
if u hav forgot your passs word then restart your mobile and then connect to pc suit and crack your password or you can format your mobile ,your all phone memory data will lost bur your pasword will become as by given mobile set
so you have forgot your password..!!!! there is only one solution for this....remember the date you have set the password, and then restore your system to an earlier time....
to be precised, go to start menu, accessories, system tools, system restore and restore it to an earlier time and proceed....then you can set a new password...
