SOURCE: Find the antilog on the TI-84 Plus for finding pH in chemistry problems

I'm not specifically familiar with the TI83 or TI84 but I've used a lot of TI calculators in my time, so I'll give it a try. If your trying to find the antilog of a number in base 10 enter the number and hit the (10 to the X) button. If you're trying to find the antilog of a number in in base e (natural log), enter the number and hit the (e to the X) button.

SOURCE: how to simplify the equations in ti 84 ??

You cannot do it with this calculator. It does not have a Computer Algebra System (CAS). Try a TI89 Titanium, a TI 92PLUS, a TI 200PLT or a TI-Nspire CAS.
However, they may exist other programs on education.ti.com or ticalc.org. Search these sites and you may be lucky.

Solve for x: x/3-1/5=4/3

Press [math] [0] to put the calculator into equation solver. Then you input your equation in 0 = format. So, the equation x/3 - 1/5 = 4/3 would be input as 0 = x/3 - 1/5 - 4/3 . Then press [enter] .

2c + 6 + 7c = 8

To solve this with a ti-84 press [math] and select solve from the menu. This will open the equation solver. Type in your equation
(Note: you may need to put it in the form with 0=, So the equation would be 0 = 2c + 6 +7c - 8 ). Then press
enter or arrow down button.

5/4x-18=-3 Ti 84 plus One: just press enter/solve Two: press 2nd Test (Math) then press enter Every time I put in and equation using the above method for the equal sign. it either takes me back to...

If you wan to solve an equation using the SOLVE feature you enter it as follows (your example)
You should rewrite it as 5/4*X-18+3 (= 0). Implicitly, the calculator assumes that the right side is ZERO and you do not enter any right side nor an equal sign.
Type in
5/4 [*] [X,T,theta, n] -18 +3 [ALPHA] [ENTER] (SOLVE)
You should get an answer -780/47 or the decimal equivalent (depending on display mode.)

Getting more than 10 equations into y=

The TI 83, 84 seris can not store more than 10 equations. the TI 86 and above can have infinate, but not the 83, 84s. If you have catalog help in your apps, you can run that, and it will be able to tell you all the syntax of every function it has.

Graphing

The first solution will allow you to watch your calculator graph two equations simultaneously rather than finishing one before graphing the next; it won't solve the problem of having the calculator unselect one equation when you select a second. To fix that problem, try the following:

In order to select additional graphs, the Transformation Graphing App will need to be uninstalled from the TI-83 Plus Family and TI-84 Plus Family. Uninstalling the App does not erase it from the calculator, it disables it from interfering with the normal graphing modes. Below are the steps to successfully uninstall the App.
  • Press [APPS] key
  • Select Transfrm from the menu
  • Press 1:Uninstall
