If its a battery out of a cordless drill you can purchase batteries from any store that sells that kind of drill but you may find depending what the drill cost it might be almost cheaper to buy a new drill. I purchased a drill for fifty bucks and a new battery was going to cost forty five so it was not worth it. Now if you pay say one hundred and fifty and a new battery might be sixty five I would go for it.
Try www.batteryplanet.com and www.batteries.com. If neither one of these has what you're looking for, google cordless drill batteries and chargers and pick from there. Happy surfing!!
Even if you don't use it, it will die in 2 years. It is the battery, I have piles of batteries and piles of old drill motors that we don't buy batteries for anymore, because it is cheaper to buy a new gun with fresh batteries than it is to buy 2 batteries. There is no better, best , they are all the same. We have every brand made in the junk pile. Hope this helps.
Depending on the size and manufacturer of the chuck a replacement should be between $35 and $50. You can replace it yourself by following the instructions on the new chuck. It's not very difficult and you can probably get the replacement at most Big-Box hardware outlets.
