Would like to know if i can watch movies from a portable external hard drive or from a flash player or memory stick
My TV is the same you CAN use both memory stick and hard drive "portable" so you are correct and you need to format the drive as "FAT32" so the TV see's it and im looking for format now think its DIV-X not sure
If i save things on a usb stick can i then put my usb in a baird tv model jo32baird and then watch things off the usb through tv?
Try to google it and type specs after brand and model;
SOURCE: I have a 32 inch
Movies stored on a hard drive are not in a format that can be readily used by a TV. You need something to read the movie file, usually a laptop computer or a DVR of some type. Good luck.
SOURCE: I have the philips 120hz and some movies are smooth, others jump
I would advise knocking down the resolution. Try and use software, like red kawa, to convert a few of your movies to different formats till you find a decent one. A widely accepted codec setup is Divx/XVid (both are the same) and MP3 sound.

the flash drive connection is usually for viewing pictures, but in most cases its used to upgrade the tv
SOURCE: I own a LG Plasma
The USB port on the TV might not have enough power to power the external hard drive. Can you try putting a movie on a USB memory stick instead, and see if that works?
