The LCD would not turn on with the remote or the on/off switch. I removed the power cord, repluged it in and then the unit worked with remote or the power switch. After awhile the unit would not switch inputs from the remote. Again removing and replacing the plug fixed the problem. Any suggestions?
Weird, my post disappeared. did any of you guys find a solution to the problem(s)? i too have no video, my volume buttons on the unit does not work though there is sound coming out the speakers, and my remote does not work. i had since upgraded/replaced the unit. it's sitting in my living room now. DaDakota, i wouldn't mind getting some money for it if you want to purchase it still. let me know. thanks.
If you can not get it fixed, I have one of these with a broken LCD screen, that apparently you can not get a replacement for, I would be willing to purchase your broken model and try to marry the two if you feel like selling it.
Email me at [email protected] and we can set a price.

I have the32" Westinghouse LCD HDTV. It locks up about twice a week where none of the control bottons on the side of the TV nor the remote work. I can only "reset" the tv by unplugging power to the tv and replugging in power again. The power is clean and filtered through a monster power filter. I also tried the tv in a friends home to see if the power source made a difference. Nope. It locked up in the same fashion there. Customer Service said they were unaware of amy lockup problems. They blamed the electrical power. I now know the power is definitely clean. What is my next step? Sounds like a software glitch etc. How can this be fixed? The tv has a few months under warranty as well. I welcome avice.
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, MY TV WILL NOT TURN ON OR OFF AND THE LIGHT STAYS ON CONSTANTLY. TRIED UNPLUGGING TV CORD AND PLUGGING BACK IN, BUT DID NOT HELP!
30" GDTV Ready LCD model LTV-30w2 will not turn on either by manual button and/or remote--I unplugged TV in hopes it would reset, only result is flashing amber LCD LIGHT AND IT SHOULD BE BLUE LIGHT FOR ON/OFF FEATURE. I did not realize the LCD'S would break at the on/off button; you would think other features like picture, etc would not be reliable and break first! What a disappointment with this Westinghouse product.
