Remove sim card

Sansa 260 R load main image failed message

Hello,

The Sansa e260 Rhapsody could be recovered by resetting the player.
How to reset the player :
1. Player switched on.
2. Press and hold the power button for approximately 30 seconds.
3. Put the player back on.

When the fault is not resolved a firmware update / reinstallation needs to be made. There are 2 steps needed for getting new firmware on the player.

Step 1: switching the player into recovery mode / MSC mode

1. Turn off the player.
2. Slide the Hold/Lock switch on top of the player so an orange color is showing.
3. Press and hold the REC button and connect the device to the computer.
4. A message will appear on the device display screen confirming the connection and a memory partition will be viewable in My Computer.
5. Release the REC button.
Step 2: Update the firmware ( updating firmware always in MSC mode, see Step 1 )
Use next link for updating the firmware:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/306
The Sansa updater installation on the computer should be the easiest way to update firmware.

for the Sansa e260.
1. make sure the device is turned off. Slide the hold switch to the "on" position. Point the device up where the screen is facing you. The navigation buttons should be pointing down. The hold switch should be on the top of the device. Slide the switch to your right.
2. While holding the record button. The button should be on your left if the position of the device is the same as above in #1. Turn-on the device. Keep on holding the record button until the recovery mode message appears on the screen.

Touble shooter

to run recovery mode is done by 1. Enabling the Hold Switch on the device when it is showing red 2. Press the record button then press the Menu/Power Button then it will show welcome to recovery mode on the screen of the player. I want to ask are you receiving Load Main Image Failed Switch to Recovery mode? If so reloading the correct firmware for your device will resolve this issue. Take note that there are 3 models of the sansa E200 , the first one it the Version 1 while the second one is the Rhapsody Model the one that has a rhapsody channel on it and the latest one which is the Version 2 that supports audible and SDHC cards.
