Water Damage Well, as a very bad decision making teenager I decided to walk out a little farther then I should on my frozen over lake. Well one step to far and I fell, backpack, clothes, phone and all. I have been letting it dry for the past few hours and am afraid to turn it on. Should I wait longer or try and turn it on?

Can I save my outdoor spa if the water went down to 33 degrees

in emergency's I have before used a large tarp that was loosely draped over the tub with a large kerosene fired heater directed inside it , to thaw a frozen tubs hoses and such , but it was only to thaw the tub out so it could drain out of water till better weather for the final repair , this method will save the tubs pipes and finish from ice damage , but it wont repair any damage that's already been done ,or reason it froze in the first place

Mp3 in water

Hi jorg6..
If you ever find that you have to deal with a wet device, don't just abandon it.
Instead, try the following method to repair the water damage:
DO NOT TURN IT ON!
Take it apart as much as you can. Take out the battery, the memory card and whatever else can be easily disassembled. (Just make sure you can put it back together.)
Store the parts in an air-tight container covered with either dry rice, silica gel packets or kitty litter. These will absorb the moisture from your electronics device, leaving it water-free.
If no rice, gel packets or kitty litter are available, try using a vacuum to **** the water out.
DO NOT blow-dry the parts, it will only force the water farther in and cause more damage.

Is it true that contraceptives should used as a solution in teenage pregnancy problem?

what do you mean by problems?
it may be used as a method of preventing pregnancy for all women aswell as teenages however whether it 'solves' problems im not too sure

it would depend on the sitution, who the father is, whether the father is accepting, the family, the pregnant girls situation (being at school/work) etc

there is a whole list of things to consider aswell as the obvous which is are the parents or girl ready to have a child and would it be a correct and wise decision.

Nor-Lake walk-in cooler water leak

The evaporator drains into pan with a coil from the discharge line. The design is intented to sub-cool the liquid refrigertant as well as evaporate the condensation from the coil. Unfortunately the engineer started as career a shipping clerk and never received any further training.  There isn't enough heat or running time to evaporate the condensation from the coil.
The solution is fairly simple
A plastic tube  drains water out of the evaporator in the pan. You can extend the tube and add a defrost pan handled by your refrigeration wholesaler. Wire it so it is on whenever there is power to the unit.  This should get rid of the excess water. These pans are also used on some self contained coolers and freezers. They come in either 120 volts or 220 volts. [email protected]

Warning light on but food is still frozen

It may just be low on freon (coolant) or you may have a bad compressor, or some back switches to the compressor.

Garmin summit hc seems to be off by more than 300 feet

First of all make sure your etrex is not set up to follow roads (if it has that facility). Maps are not always accurate particularly edges of lakes and forest boundaries. If your etrex can only see a few satellites then accuracy will be degraded. Make sure your body is not shielding the view of the satellites by holding the unit away from you. The accuracy of any GPS is affected by the relative position of the satellites with respect to each other. If they appear (at your location) to be in a straight line then your GPS cannot perform the trigonometrical calculations to determine your position with any accuracy. In GPS speak this is called DOP - Dilution Of Precision and can result in variable accuracy from +/-5m at best to +/-30m or worse.

96 civic over heating

hi from uk from your symptoms and you described very well ! your problem now is the water pump impellor has either broken ? or the impellor has spun on its drive shaft resulting in there will be no flow of coolant through the engine/radiator hence o/heating of static coolant? you are very lucky! normally the damage could be much worse and expensive? you should never try to start a car with frozen coolant i have seen thismany times resulting in cambelts shearing teeth due to frozen pumps resulting in serious engine damage to valves/pistons/cyl heads however? you will have to investigate coolant circulation? and take the appropriate repair measures this is not beyond diy if you have tools/manual and patience wish you good luck please update on what you discover ? in mean time do not drive car! till fixed you risk head gasket failure due to o/heating ?

Freezer in gargae

Refrigerator Freezers are controlled by the refrigerator temperature and NOT the freezer temperature. Move it to a warmer location.
