Possible that the door lock is jammed or there is no trigger from the door switch or lock. Also this can be due to fault in the control panel, check the input/outputs from the controller unit.

SOURCE: Door locked, wont spin or drain.

humming noise suggests a foreign object in the pump. crack open filter and drain water into a shallow tray. repeat till empty. remove filter completely and clean it. check if something stuck in pump impellor. this should be visible by looking into the filter hole

SOURCE: have a Bosch WFMC 3200UC and gives a E04 error.

In order to unlock the door on this machine you must first turn the cycle knob to a cycle that was different than the one you were on. The machine should then reset and the door should unlock.

SOURCE: Washer fills wont spin out or drain water

I had the same problem. After releasing the door and removing the wet clothes, I siphoned the water from the drum. Make sure that the water is turned off and the machine is unplugged, Then I opened the large black cap behind the round white cover on the surface. Be prepared to capture about half galon of water. This is the opening to the drain pump. In my case, there were some toys from my kids which had stuck in the turning part of the pump. I removed them and replaced the cap to the pump. Everything seemed to be OK after that.
I hope that this helps. Please be adivsed that I am not a repair person and proceed with caution and use common sense when dealing with electric appliances.
Good Luck

SOURCE: washer fills and drains, but the drum does not run

Joe, Thanks for the prompt reply. OK, it sounds like one of two possible culprits, 1) the belt has broke or spun off. 2) the brushes in the motor are worn...although the initial symptom of this is typically manifest in "no spin" so I'd lean towards a broken or spun off belt. You'll need to remove the rear panel for a visual inspection to confirm or dismiss either possibilities. Let me know what you find out. If the belt is off check for possible reasons "why" ? It can be a loose drive pulley, ( the large one, not the motor pulley ) or simply an unbalanced load on the previous wash, just a heads up since you're looking around in there anyway. Of course the belt itself may be worn ( stretched ) or broke and thus at fault as well. Good luck, I'll watch your post. macmarkus :)

SOURCE: we're getting an E13 error but the drain is fine.

Hi, welcome to fixya. The emergency latch release is behind the small round panel below the main tub door. **Unplug the washer or turn off the breaker before attempting any suggestion given here please** To open the access door ( small round panel ) you'll require a small round needle shaped object or really narrow screwdriver. Put it in the small hole in the panel push in slightly and turn to about 6 o'clock...clockwise that is The small round cover should now come off and expose the pump with the string going through a hook on the pump housing. Be very careful as the edges are very sharp. A string will be threaded through the pump housing and you just need to pull it to open the main door. Let me know how you make out and also if you require further assistance with this problem. If you don't require further assistance and this indeed was helpful to you, please allow a moment to rate this solution I've given accordingly. Thank you for visiting "fixya" today and good luck. Macmarkus :)

Asked yesterday duet whirlpool washer no serial number red lock light is on disconnected plug and breaker pressed the start button for 3 sec after connecting it again still doesn't work please help

Hi Bruce.
i found this on the net.
The lid can become locked if something is clogging the pump or filter drain. This means the washer is unable to drain properly, thus it won't unlock the door. It may also mean you need to replace a faulty drain pump.

Or try this link out.

Starts to call for water then stops, and I can hear a light hum.

Good Afternoon Nora, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Often when a washer hums, it is because the drainage hose/pump of your appliance may be clogged due to not being able to properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Therefore the hose/pump needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Best of luck!

GE Washer, Model GBVH5140HWW. Door seal failed and water in washing machine leaked into the base of the washing machine. Removed the front panel, replaced the door seal, dried up the water in the machine...

The seal is likely not installed correctly. What is happening is the latch for the lock is trying to hook and it is being blocked so it doesn't actually lock. After so many tries the machine goes into an abort mode where it washes out all the water and stands by for it to be fixed. If you put some pressure on the door (closing it) while it is trying to lock, it likely will lock and then run. It is basically an adjustment issue. It is also possible that something with the lock mechanism is broken or out of adjustment causing the leaking to begin with and that is actually the area that needs attention rather than replacing the door seal. Door seals rarely fail unless they are physically damaged somehow.

We have a GE front load washer WCVH6800. Recently we loaded some throw rugs into the washer. These rugs released a large amount of material. We cleaned the pump filter 3 times and it now seems clean. ...

The water inside the tub will drain out when the pump filter is removed from the pump housing and flood the base of the washer. If not, the tub drain hose is clogged preventing the water to drain into the pump housing then out.

The door is locked because the foam switch in the pressure switch is open due to the presence of water after the unsuccessful drain cycle.

Disconnect the washer from the power outlet. Remove the three screws holding the lower front access panel to the cabinet and pull the panel down to access the pump housing.

Squeeze the clamp that hold the tub drain hose to the pump housing and slide it back. Prepare a pan to catch the water to prevent flooding. The tub drain hose maybe difficult to remove and you may need to insert something under it to break the seal and pull it off.

Remove the tub drain hose from the tub by squeezing the securing clamp and pulling it off the tub drain outlet. Clear the hose and the tub drain outlet from any debris.

Reinstall the tub drain hose and manually unlock the door before reinstalling the access panel. Reach and pull the release ring behind and up the right side of the front panel, then open the door.

My washer locks up and the door is LOCKED

FO2 is the code for long drain. The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.

To manually unlock the door lock system:
1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
2. Remove the front lower kick panel.
3. Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the bottom of the door latch assembly.
4. Located on the bottom of the door latch assembly is a tear-drop shaped tab.
5. Gently pull the tab down about quarter inch or until a click is heard.
6. The door may now be opened.
