You could replace the HDMI port on the TV, it's no different than changing a USB port card in your computer. But, finding the replacement HDMI port card for your TV can be tough. Try shopjimmy.com for parts.

I have a Bose 3.2.1. GSX Series 3 system. Recently, when playing DVD's I am getting sound only and a message on the TV screen saying 'No Signal' and on the 3.2.1. display 'communicating with your TV'....

Possible faulty lead or a poor connection. Has the new Sky Box been fitted to the HDMI socket the Bose had? Try switching sockets if there is more than one HDMI socket.

Can record Sky programmes but not view live.

You must connect up the TV to the SKY box, via Audio Visual cables too, in order to watch, recorded programs. You need to hook, up, Component, HDMI, or Composite, You select it by an EXTERNAL channel.
Connect the cable running from the wall into the "In" port on the Sky Box HD receiver. This cable brings in the signal to your receiver. Make sure the cable is securely fastened to the receiver, otherwise you might experience image and audio issues.
Attach an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the Sky Box HDTV receiver. The HDMI is a single cable that provides both HD audio and video signals.
Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into an available HDMI port on the HDTV.
Power on the HDTV and the Sky Box HDTV receiver. Press the "HDMI" button on the TV's remote control. This will display the cable contents of the HD receiver onto the television.

Got sky installed today only thing getting on screen is "no video signal"

Sounds like the "channel" you are trying to watch on is not the one it's plugged into, or a faulty lead.
check the connection from the sky box to the tv, and select the av or hdmi channel that it is plugged into on the tv.
check the lead by swapping it for a known good one, for example from a dvd or ps3, but unplug from the dvd/ps3 and plug into the sky box(make sure that all the units are powered off when swapping leads) and try on the channel you normally watch/use the dvd/ps3.
If you suspect the sky is at fault, press menu on the sky remote and then flick through all the av/hdmi channels until you find the menu, then try to reinstall/retune the sky box.
If that don't work phone sky......................

HOW TO CONNECT SAMSUNG 40 LCD TV TO SAMSUNG SURROUND TZ215 THRUGH SKY + HD BOX.

you will need the following = HDMI LEAD
Optical Audio Lead
Red and White phono Lead

Sky HD Box > connect to Tv via HDMI Lead.

Sky HD box > Connect the optical Audio, and the Phono Leads To your Surrounds sound.

The reason I am wanting you to connect the phono's as well as the optical audio out. Not all programs are transmitted with Dolby D so you will need these for normal sound to come through your surround sound.

One last thing I would like you to check is the sound settings on your Hd box.

OLD PROGRAM GUIDE:
On your sky remote. Press SERVICES, 4, 2, then ensure that Dolby D is displayed if not highlight and using the blue button change this to Dolby D. then arrow down to save.

NEW PROGRAM GUIDE:
On your sky remote. Press SERVICES, 0, Arrow along to SOUND then arrow down and change this to DOLBY D Then press the GREEN button.

Hope this Helps you out. IF so please leave a thumbs up

JVC LT-32DS75SJ issue with HDMI

Try this

1. Turn ON TV
2. Connect PS3 to TV HDMI input
3. select TV HDMI input for PS3
4. turn OFF PS3 if it is ON
5. Press and hold the [I/O]Power button until the PS3 until you get the "HDMI Detected" message.

Also, this TV has a circuit that deactivates the HDMI if the rear cover is removed. It is possible the HDMI may have been turned OFF. This is reset in the service menu of the TV.

LG 42LC2D-EC NO SOUND ON HDMI

your setting for source of the audio is probably defaulted back to original setting in receiver. reassign audio input and problem may go away. it sounds like its not in the tv. i assume you have a receiver and are not trying to listen with speakers in tv. is this correct? if you are not using an amplifier, you may need to go to the tv menu to make sure the audio source is selected as the hdmi input. should take a bit to read thru the manual, but it ought to show you how to accomplish the correct settings.
let me know if it does not.
good luck
