Dryer is making loud noise when drying. Listen to video. Help
I heard the sound and that is not an unbalanced drum. I think you have either bearings going out or your drum belt needs to be replaced. When that wears down it causes the drum not to run true giving it that metal on metal sound.
I'm sorry but there is NO sound on your video. I'm going to guess as to what the sound might be. It is a clunking sound. If so, just open the door and when the drum stops, spread the ball of clothes around the drum as much as possible. It was out of balance.

Solution for the Maytag model is most likely to replace the blower wheel. Remove the two screws on the front panel (just a couple inches off the floor) and swing the front panel up to allow you to unhook the top side of the panel from the clips at the very top of the front panel. You do not have to remove the wires, just set the front panel to the side. Blower wheel is at the lower left. The old wheel most likely no longer has a D shaped hole to match the motor shaft, and spins freely. Remove cover. Replace the wheel part number Y303836 for a LDG7304AAE which is held on the shaft with a spring type clamp. Reassemble. Not really very hard to do. On a difficulty scale or 1 - 10, I'd rate it a 3.

Take off the back panel of the dryer and look at the motor and belt turning the drum. There may be something caught on the drum and is pinned in place causing the noise. The motor could be loose on the platform and needs to be tightened. It is probably something physical and seen causing the noise.

Hey friend, I appreciate your post!
I understand that your Electrolux gas dryer is making a loud vibration noise and is also loud while tumbling. There are several components in your dryer that could be causing this noise. Based off what you are describing it might be an issue with your suspension rollers, motor, or pulley. Since it could be any of these underlying issues I would suggest getting a technician out to diagnosis and repair your dryer. Hope this is helpful. - Matt
