Even after reset it still flashes protect

Try checking your speakers and speaker wires for shorts and/or grounds. If your speakers and speaker wires check out, you may have a bad internal output ic.

I am installing kenwood kdc-mp443u. it is flashing protect and i can't remove it. can you help please?

A speaker wire has a short-circuit, crossed, or touches the chassis of the vehicle it activates the protection mode function.
? Wire or insulate the speaker cable properly and press the reset button. If the "PROTECT" code does not disappear, consult your nearest service center.
I have attached a link for you which is for a free Kenwood KDC-MP443U instruction manual download. Nice receiver by the way!

Kenwood KDC-MP732 CD Player in protect mode how do i get it off had a blown speaker fixed it and still in protect mode

Protect Mode (Blink): The speaker wire has a short-circuit or touches the chassis of the vehicle, and then the protection function is activated.

Solution: Wire or insulate the speaker cable properly and press the reset button.

Here is a copy of the Instruction Manual for the Kenwood KDC-X790 and KDC-MP732.

It is on protected mode when i hit the reset button

Hi.

The unit goes on protected mode when an internal fault is detected.

Try disconnecting the battery cable for five minutes . If there is no fault you will clear protected mode.

If the unit still goes on protect, then check the wiring at the back, a short in there can trigger protectedd mode. If that does not work, then there is an internal fault. In that case the unit must be disassembled and tested.

Regards.

Security Code for Protect mode

Turn on the car so the radio is flashing "Protect." Look on the front / removable face of the stereo. On it you will find a small round hole - that's a reset button. Find a small paper clip, unfold the clip and stick it gently into the hole. The "Protect" will stop flashing, and Kenwood will be displayed. Unfortunately all your settings/presets will be gone, but at least the stereo is working again!
