This code is a fuser problem code. Follow the procedure below. If the code does not reset or comes right back then: you will have to check the thermistor, thermo fuse and fuser lamp. If 1 or more are defective then replace. After you replaced the defective part you will have to clear the error code again.

Here's the way to reset that fuser code;

First open top cover then turn on power.
press system menu/counter
arrow down to service
press and hold start, # then enter keys
arrow down to maintenance
press enter
arrow down to Sim 163
press enter
select execute
press enter
turn off power then back on

I have a kyocera km 1820 copier at work and cannot figure out how to navigate it to make 2-sided copies???

The Kyocera KM-1820 does not have an automatic 2-sided option. This is why it cannot be found in the settings.

I am getting an error C6000 on my Kyocera KM-1820 after we had a power outage. I can't seem to get it to turn off. What do I need to do in order to get the copier to work again and for it not to have the...

Go into the service mode ( 10871087 ) then enter 163 then hit the start button. This clears the C6000 (heater error) and if it is a false code due to a power outage, it will clear the code and resume normal operation. If the code comes back, you likely have a bad heater lamp or thermal fuse or thermistor.

Kyocera cs 1820 or copystar = error message = 3200

3200 is a problem with the exposure lamp. If you are in a dirty enviroment, the problem could be dirty mirrors under the scanner glass.

Keyocera 1820 balck & white copier error code C6400 on start up,

Zero-crossing signal problem
The engine PCB does not detect the
zero-crossing signal for the time specified
below. At power-on: 3 s Others: 5 s

That is what the code means in the service manual. However you can try a reset by doing the following. Press 10871087 to enter maintenance mode. Once in maintenace mode press 906 then follow the steps below

1. Press the start key.
2. Select the EXECUTE using the up/down cursor keys. It is displayed in reverse.
3. Press the start key to reset partial operation control. The maintenance mode is exited, and the machine
returns to the same status as when the power switch is turned on.

If you do not feel comfortable performing this operation, or the problem persists then call a technician immediately.
