The error message "Disc Error Playback feature may not be available on this disc" can have a few different causes. Here are some of the most common:
The disc is not compatible with the DVD player. Some DVD players are only compatible with certain regions or formats of discs. If the disc you are trying to play is not compatible with your DVD player, you will get this error message.
The disc is damaged. If the disc is scratched, dirty, or otherwise damaged, it may not be able to be read by the DVD player.
The DVD player is faulty. If the DVD player is faulty, it may not be able to read discs correctly.
Here are some things you can try to fix the problem:
Try playing the disc in another DVD player. If the disc plays in another DVD player, then the problem is with your DVD player.
Clean the disc. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the disc. Be careful not to scratch the disc.
Format the disc. If the disc is formatted for a different region or format, you may need to format it for your DVD player.
Reset the DVD player. If the DVD player is faulty, you may need to reset it.
If you have tried all of these things and you are still getting the error message, then you may need to replace the DVD player.
There is no setup code to this device with Iview. If you wish to get more; check the site linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. See it in "Mosaic" view. It will make surf easier. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/
it could be a region problem. most dvd players are locked on certain region areas..like America being Zone 1 and S.A being Zone 2. imported or diffirent format of dvd's usualy gives a disk error message. if you think it might be region try www.videohelp.com. they give hacks for region problems^^
Switch player on and make sure there is no disc in the tray. CLose tray and press menu,1,9.
A menu should appear with the region option at about the third line from the bottom. Press enter and enter the region you want. Next press open/close. Put in your movie and enjoy.
Try the following when the error is on the screen, press the number 1 key on the remote, this should take you to the fist chapter of your DVD no matter which region it is
