for the canner to work, you have to install the printer with the CD that came with the printer. The installation software will setup the scanner so that you can scan by pressing the scan button on the printeror from the Lexmark Productivity Suite on your computer.

If you do not have the original CD, you must download the software from www.lexmark.combut be sure to download the full printer install, else the scanner will be installed.

Auto Scaner The rear water pump does not pump water onto the windscreen I dont have the owners manual and dont know how to fill this rear tank up or if it runs thru from the front one

If using Windows 7 just open Windows Fax and Scan and select the printer as the scan source

turn the printer on, place the picture on the glass, on the printer under mode press the big silver button until the scan light comes on  then press select, you should hear the picture scanning, then on the computer, go under my pictures and you should see that picture.

If you dont have any idea of how to do a scan, will be a good idea to get the manual of your printer first in order to help you out better with this issue.

You should be able to transfer the pictures if it has built in memory. then transfer it to memory card the same way you'd take them off

If you have the usb cord plugged into your laptop and it still wont scan onto your laptop,you may need to reload the software disc.
