I am trying to organize my music into groups according to type. I purchased this player so I could quickly change to a different type of music if I choose to do so.
I had a Creative Zen that had a very easy program for organizing music, it came with the set-up, but in order to go to a different type of music, I had to click through all songs.
I am finding this new player very frustrating, I can't seem to find any info on how to do basic organizing.
Also, when I plugged it into my computer to add music from my Windows Media Player, I found that all kinds of files (pictures, e-mail, etc.) ended up on the player.
Is there anyway I can get help on how to use this player. The pamphlet that came with it tells me nothing.
Thank you

I had the same problem. One day my Mp3 started acting weird and said it was not recognizing the files and that i needed to re download them. Try plugging it up to your computer while its charging and hit the power off. Then reset your mp3 with the button at the bottom and it should recognize it.

Windows Explorer works! - Just put the MP3 files in the "MUSIC" folder when the drive letter shows up after you plug it in - I found that WMP can see mine but doesnt like to do anything with it as far as transferring files.. Look again in the Fixya page for this model player as I just listed how to convert videos correctly also. [email protected]

hi mine freezes too when i try to open my photos on the walkman. but mine did work using the reset button, you might want to return it if you have receipt, if not you still got 1 year warranty with sony.you can also try connecting the player to the computer to see if it turns on and charges. thanx

I had the same problem. For at least a week. Try pressing the reset button. The reset button won't delete your music, videos, pictures, etc. Just resets your system. If that does not work then i don't know what else to tell you.
