more than likely your water valve has failed or is clogged up. You should still at least hear a humming noise when you turn it on.

I suspect the blower wheel that mounts to the motor shaft is loose and needs replacing.

Sounds like water valve is bad.

Remove the 2 screws which hold the lower front washer panel , lift out from the bottom and remove the panel.You can now run the machine and use a flashlight to see where the leak maybe. Usually the top tub seal under the plastic tub cover will leak. The other possibility is the main tub bearing and seal on the main tub where the transmission goes up through tub. Hope this helps.

It is probably the lid switch. On some machines there is a lid switch fuse that may not be in your wiring diagram for your machine.

Some of the fuses are glass and look like an automotive fuse and there are some enclosed in the switch assembly that you can't see unless you drill out the rivets holding the switch together.

It is a carbon fuse with a spring on each end pulling on it.

I had the same problem with mine and Maytag tech told me there was not a fuse in the switch.

This made troubleshooting especially frustrating.

If it stops running when hot it may be the motor. The belt or drum rollers would not stop it from running.
