I cannot connect to my home wifi I am sitting across the room from my router and have entered the id# and network key. it will show the network with a singnal and then says Not In Range. I am not 5 feet from my router other wifi devices are connected at this time with NO PROBLEMS

you will need to set up the wifi first , there is a spot in the setup screens that says wifi , go to this and expand it by clicking on it , this will show a list of avail networks (there could be more than one) select yours in the list , a prompt will show up (enter network password ) you must enter your network password exactly as its in your router (or coffee shop router) and press enter when done , it will prompt back with connecting " when its done it will go back to previous screen , make sure your main prompt for wifi is still on then open your browser and enter a desination it should work , I will tell you this model is very picky about signal strength and wont connect unless you have least four bars .

First of all, you must have the password which is set for your home WIFI. You can't do anything without it. Assuming you got the password, Go to tablet's Settings, turn on WIFI. You need to enter the correct wifi key on the router you are using if it is password protected. Sometimes it's on the bottom of the router its called the wep key, and its usually on the side of the router next to the wifi id.

You have to enter the WPA share key. The router password is only to access the built in administration web facility. The WPA share key is the encryption key necessary for the Kindle to connect to your router.

This is normal. To save energy, the ARCHOS always starts up with the WiFi set to off. You must manually use the Fn-F3 keys if you want to activate the WiFi connection.
