Plasma problems I have a Sony 60 inch plasma power light is continuously blinking I try and turn the tv on and nothing happens light keeps blinking

How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. This kind of problem occurs when lamp becomes weak that means near to end of working life hours but still not dead nor broken.
Replacement of lamp in tv will solve your problem, lamp replacement procedure is easy and would be written in user manual.

4 blinks is a fan error you have a fan that is clogged up or burned out.

Most likely a capacitor in the power supply went out. otherwise it may be a bad relay if there happens to be one.
Most reason for a tv not turning on at all is bad power supply

Press the power button on the tv
(The tv will turn itself off the back on)
Now release the reset button
It sounds like the lamp needs replaced....

the tv will try to reboot a few times. just let i try and eventually it will start blinking red. if you could count the red blinks then i can further assist you.

no kidding? what is the problem so prevelant in this unit? obvious design flaw.
