Sharp AR-160 has an error code CH when you power it on

Was making copies and an error code CH appeared, powered it down and still having the same problem.

    you need to input a code in order to reset your copier.. im having the same problem i used to have the code but i lost the paper with the code on it.. as soon as i get it i will post =]

Error code.
CH error has to do with your sorter. Check to make sure it is connected properly and see if there is anything jamming inside of it.

Error CH uppon power up...copy lamp comes on scaner moves forward 2...3 inches shakes and machine stops...
OK, CH normally means the one of the covers(front or side panels) is open or the developer unit is unplugged try these to see if that fixes the problem. p.s When the covers are closed a small tab on the covers triger a interlock switch or optical switch. Hope this helps
