Not sure of the model number of your polaroid tablet you have. Generally the adapter should be an AC adapter for 220V or 110V depending on country. It is unlikely you will have to select 6v or 12v. If you are unsure charge the tablet through the USB cable connected to a computer. It might take a bit longer to charge and make sure the computer is connected to mains charger to avoid drain on computer (laptop, etc) battery.
The manual says it is a 5v DC output connector for the adapter. Not sure why you are asking the question. If in doubt send email to polaroid support on the address at end of the attached manual.
This is not a solution but more of a description if I am correct. I am working on a Polaroid PMID705 tablet for a friend and the capacitive touch screen cable is torn apart due to a kid dropping it. If I am correct I do believe that the person is asking where they may be able to get a replacement screen.
