I have a GE front load dryer that is a few years old. It gets warm but is not drying my clothes complete. It usually take more than one or two cycles. Please help!!! The lint vent is clean, plus i cleaned the front lint vent.
Did you clean the entire length of the vent ducting? Or, did you only clean the lint trap on the dryer and the exhaust vent outside? If you didn't clean the ducting as well, you may still have a clog somewhere causing your dryer to be "starved" for air. A dryer needs proper air flow to dry properly. One way to check is to turn the dryer on and go outside to the exhaust vent opening. Feel to see if you have sufficient air flow. If the air flow is weak, you have a clog. If not, you may have a high limit thermostat cutting off prematurely, not allowing the heating element to heat long enough. Check your ducting first and let me know if this helps.

I have plenty of air flow coming out of the exhaust but it is not hot air. my model # is dwsr483eb2ww
The only part of the dryer that really gets warm is the back. We've checked the duct & lint traps...all clean.
I have this same problem at a rental unit I am going to this wknd...where is the hi heat thermo and how can I test it with a meter to insure it is bad, once I confirm the lint and duct work flows freely? Thanks
OOOpppss...my model is a GE DWSR483EB2WW for the post I just put out there....thanks.
dryer gets hot but not hot enough. Have to run thru several cycles to dry clothes. no blockage in exhaust vent and lint filter is clean.
One cycle of drying now does not completely dry clothes. Setting the permanent press and the regular cycle does not dry them completely. I have to use the timed drying to complete. Vent is not restricted.
my dryer is drying very slowly takes a really long time and then the clothes are not coming out completely dry. how do I get rid of excess lint
What does e34 mean on my dryer? The dryer runs but the clothes are not drying, the dryer is not even three years old yet. I have cleared out all the vents, what next? Please help
Also not drying as well as it should. Taking too long and lint is cleaned out every where.
The vent is totally clear, took the whole machine apart and cleaned every inch of the filter/venting.Tested the heat swich for continuity it was good. Start dryer and vent gets hot but it takes two cycles to dry the clothes. Seven year old Frigidaire dryer.
