Try another input and another source such as a DVD player. If you still get the buzzing sound, you could have a faulty power supply output or a fault in the audio circuit of the main board.

SOURCE: Have hooked up HP Pavivillion PC with HDMI cable;

Plug in the HDMI to the TV and set the TV to HDMI input. Go to the Vista Contol panel on the PC, to Hardware & Sounds, then Sound.

The control panel will show the computer speakers as the default hardware. Highlight the HDMI icon, click the Default button! That's it: obvious when I realized "default" was not "return to default settings", but setting the default device. Duh... always simple once you see it.
Thanks, Rick Russell

I have a insignia ns-l32q-10a and there is an ever present buzzing noise, what could the problem be?

It sounds as if there is a small arc or short inside the TV. This could potentially be repaired easily by an electronics professional, perhaps as simple as a cracked solder joint or a loose connection somewhere. Get a quote for repair from a repair shop and compare that to the cost of replacing to best decide whether to replace the TV or not.

My tv turns on and off by itelf. how do i fix it?

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

Insignia NS-LB032X-10A we bought from a friend that claimed virtually no use and we have not manual and can't get any sound out of it. Please help if you can. It is a 32 TV &built in DVD year 2009

Do you mean the NS-LBD32X-10A? The manual is available here: http://insigniaproducts.com/products/televisions/NS-LBD32X-10A.html?supportTab=open . The direct link to the manual is http://insigniaproducts.com/cms/documents/NS-LBD32X-10A%20UM%20EN.pdf .

Check if the speakers are muted or if the volume is low. Then go to the Menu and in the Audio submenu go down to Speakers. Make sure that the internal speakers are on.

If the speakers still don't work, they may have failed or the wiring may be damaged. Unfortunately, I do not see any speakers for the TV from my usual vendors.

I hope this helps.

My Insignia NS-LDVD32Q-10A Tv Negative Picture

I have the same exact tv and the same exact set of problems, I was watching a movie through my xbox 360 connected by a hdmi cable. All of the sudden (noone walked by it, noone touched it, did not change the channels, didn't hit the remote) the colors just kind of "reversed". very very strange, don't know whats going on with it. And of course we can't find our reciept either, we even bought the extended service plan. A lot of help that did if we can't find it.
