Need to listen to my voicemail but forgot the password

Depending on if you use the Instant voicemail app or call into the direct line their are different reset procedures. Additionally it will depend on the specific carrier you use. I will include some common carriers so you can use which one is applicable.
Verizon
Press *611 then press SEND (airtime is free). Alternatively, call (800) 922-0204 (toll free) from any phone to reach the automated customer service menu. Listen to the instructions then when prompted, press 4. Listen to the instructions then when prompted say "Reset voicemail password".
AT&T
Call the AT&T automated system from your mobile device. Press "1" to confirm your wireless phone number. Press "3" to select Reset Your Voicemail Password. You will receive a temporary password via free text message.
Sprint
To reset your voicemail passcode:

Sign in to My Sprint with your username and password.

Click the My preferences tab.

Under Things I can manage online, click Change voicemail passcode. The Reset Voicemail Passcode window will open.

Contact your wireless carrier to learn how to reset or change your voicemail password on iPhone.
If you don't remember your voicemail password or need to change it, contact your wireless carrier for assistance.
If your wireless carrier offers Visual Voicemail, you can change your voicemail password directly from your iPhone: Tap Settings > Phone > Change Voicemail Password.

To reset your voicemail password over the phone by calling AT&T's automated system:

• Call 800.331.0500 from any phone or 611 from your AT&T wireless phone.
• Press the option for Voicemail Help, and then follow the prompts to reset your password.

Reset the Voice Mail Password from the Wireless Device

1. Press *611 then press SEND (airtime is free).
2. Listen to the instructions then when prompted, press 3.
3. Listen to the instructions then when prompted say 'Reset voicemail password' or press 5.
4. If prompted, enter the requested information for security verification.
5. Follow the prompts to reset the password.

OR

Reset the Voice Mail Password Online
This method requires logging into My Verizon. To establish a profile, refer to Register for My Verizon.

1. Navigate: My Verizon > My Device >
2. Create New Password
3. Confirm New Password
4. Click Submit.

Reset the Voice Mail Password for a Prepay Number

1. Press *611.
2. Press SEND (airtime free) to reach a service center.

Your voicemail password is a 4 digit number that you enter when you want to listen to your voicemail messages from any other phone other than your mobile phone - this is called remote access. This voicemail password gives you the protection to know that only you can listen to your voicemails.
It is vital that your password is set to a random 4 digit password. To change your password, all you need to do is:

1. Dial 173 from your mobile
2. You will then be asked to pick a 4 digit number, and then press the # button
3. If you are happy press press 2

Your password is all set up and you will be prompted to enter it whenever you want to listen to your voicemails through remote access.You will only need to use this password when accessing your voicemails from another phone. You will not need to use this password when accessing your voicemail from your own mobile phone - you simply dial 171 as normal
You can reset your voicemail pass code by dialing 611 or 1 800 331 0500
From the main menu, press3 (To get help with voicemail)
Press 2 to reset your voicemail pass word
Enter Billing Zip code
Customer will receive a text message to their wireless phone with their new voicemail password.
OR
You can log into your "My Account" from the www.cingular.com
From the My Phone page, click Reset Voice Mail Password.
Choose a wireless number from the dropdown menu and select Submit.
A text message is sent to the wireless phone with the new password.

Not to worry. Just call the service provider of your LG Rumor, explain that you forgot your voicemail password, and they will give you a temporary password, once they confirm you are who you, general security procedure. Once you have the temp one, they will then tell you how to change it to the one you want yourself.

The number they phone wants is your password. If you forgot it ... you may be able to change it through the website of your service provider. As a default, you might want to try the last 4 digits of your telephone number.

You should be able to call into your voicemail and listen to the prompts. One of the prompts will give you the option to change your password. Hope this helps.

Changing CCR tree...

Ok, for the first part:
Changing the Greeting in the Auto Attendant via CCR tree... you have to get into the ADMIN mailbox:
-> FEATURE 9 8 3
-> Password 1020000 for 3 digit extensions -or- 120000 for 2 digit extensions
(these are the default password, but can be changed)
-> OTHR
-> CCR
-> ADMIN
-> TREE 1 and press OK
-> CHNG
-> Path 0
-> REC then press PLAY to listen to the greeting, and ensure that is the one that you need to change
-> REC the new message
-> remember to SAVE! otherwise all is for not.
THIS MAY BE REQUIRED FOR OTHER TREES ex 2 or 3, listen too all trees and change if required... same steps to get into the trees and prompts.

Ok, second part:
To change the locations of where Press 1 goes do that same steps as above, but Path 1 is for number 1...
Path 2 is for the number 2... so on and so forth.

Voicemail

Your network stores the voicemail messages you receive. To listen to your messages, call your voicemail number.

Note: Your service provider may give you additional information about using voicemail.
