How do you hard reset a hp ipaq rx5915?? i lost the password

sounds like LCD water damage. You can replace the LCD screen if you can find that part.

the password can not be broken, but you can perform a hard reset that wipes the device clean including the password. all content is lost.

1. Press and hold the lower left and lower right buttons.

2. Press the Reset button on the bottom of the iPAQ Pocket PC
with the stylus.

3. Hold all buttons until the displayed image begins to fade
(approximately four seconds).

4. Release the program buttons and stylus.

You can verify a full reset by pressing the power button. If the
iPAQ Pocket PC has been fully reset, it will not turn on.

5. Reactivate the battery by doing one of the following:

Connecting the iPAQ Pocket PC to AC power

Pressing the Reset button with the stylus

Well I would think so. batteries cause all sorts of headaches even when brand new, so I personally would get a new one, install it charge it up for required period as recommended, and see if that works.

I did a hard reset and the problem was gone (I've lost all the calendar and contacts data but they were restored after making the synchronisation)

and download the drivers after registering youself there and do burn a CD for future.

1. Press and hold the Quick Launch and Rotate Screen buttons.
2. While holding these buttons, use the stylus to lightly press the Reset button on the HP iPAQ until
the device restarts.
3. When the HP iPAQ restarts, release all of the buttons, and then remove the stylus from the
Reset button.
The HP iPAQ restarts and powers on

It doesn't mention a password. I also have an HP Ipaq and don't need a password to hard reset. Good luck. If this helps you plz rate this. Thank you kindly.

seems like you have a problem with your charger.happened to me too.did you try charging the ipaq via the usb cable on your computer?

retrun it, cancel your credit card, go to paypal and they can resolve it.
