The LCD display on my Whirlpool AWOD6727 7kg washing machine shows error message "F23". I have checked the manufacturer's website and obtained the user manual. The manual suggests this is an "electric module fault" and to select the "Drain" programme or push the "Reset" button for at least 3 seconds. I have followed these instructions and once the draining ends the red "Clean Pump" indicator flashes. I have followed the procedure for draining and cleaning the pump but the same problem keeps occuring with the same display messages. Could someone please shed some light on what this means? Am I looking at a new machine or is there a home-fix? I have managed to address all other error codes at home no problem....but this one is tricky! Many thanks.

You may have some articles that made their way into the pump housing. Alot of times I see dimes get stuck in the ports of the pump, remove and check out thoroly and also check hoses coming to pump for little son of a gun articles that like to hide.

You shd check out your pump, refer
to manual. There shd be some block there.

u can simply get the manual from whirlpool.co.uk to solve the pump issue as its quite a simple one
its just a matter of opening the drainage door and unscrewing the drain catcher make sure u got a bowl or saucepan there to catch any water
and that will solve your problem

take top off machine. look down right side and you will see a disc about 50 mm in diameter, attached to this is a small flexible rubber pipe, take this off at the disc and blow through it,( you will need some type of pipe to connect to the rubber pipe).this worked for me with the very same problem.

Hi The issue seems to be with the
drain pump motor that is bad and should be replaced. However, before replacing remove
the hoses to the main motor, remove electrical connections & remove motor
(single screw holds motor; it is on the outside back of the machine). Try to
rotate the motor (use WD40 is necessary). If you cannot rotate it, then motor
will be required. If the error still appears then cancel the error message,
turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the
"Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Switch the appliance off and
then back on again. Hope this helps...please post back for further
assistance. Daniel
