It needs reprogramming. Likely to be a job for your local dealer using a laptop connected to it. Or you can search the manual, or Reset it, (Usually a secret red button hidden under the Total key).

sounds like it is either loose or a bad washer on the divert-er (the button to turn from tub to shower). you will need to take apart and see if it is tight if not tighten and see if that fixes the problem, if not then you will need to replace rubber washer. hope this helped tim

I think you mean an ER-A450T. Try pressing 1 then CASH# button (usually next to the JOURNAL FEED button. Not the CA/AT button)

The Sharp ER-A330 and ER-A310 both have a calculator function that turned out to be just trouble for users who don't need it and don't know how to turn it off. At the bottom-left of the keyboard is a button labeled PO. Normally you enter a dollar amount and touch that to Pay Out money from the till. On these models it also activates the calculator mode, allowing you to add and subtract numbers without affecting sales.Touch PO to turn calculator mode back off, and you'll have a cash register again.

I would try using the original restore disk that came with the laptop. It should contain all the needed drivers, files, operating system, and applications specific for your laptop.
