Run a cable from "Audio Out" on your TV, to "Audio In" on your stereo.
Turn up the volume on your home theater unit.

Can you not hear your TV? Is the volume supposed to go above 63? Do you have it connected to any externals like a stereo, or surround sound system? Between 0 and 63, can you turn the volume up and down freely, with no problems? We need a lot more information before we can help you out with your specific problem. Press and hold the "Fn," or function, key on your EEE PC-1000's keyboard.
Press "F3" while holding "Fn" to lower the brightness on your monitor.
The brightness on your computer decreases each time "F3" is pressed.
Press "F4" while holding "Fn" to increase the brightness on your monitor.
Each time "F4" is pressed, the brightness increases.
Press "F8" while holding "Fn" to decrease the volume from your EEE PC's speakers.
Each time "F8" is pressed, the volume decreases.
Press "F9" while holding "Fn" to increase the volume from your EEE PC's speakers.
Each time "F9" is pressed, the volume increases.
Press the "Ins" key while holding "Fn" to take a screen shot, or make a copy of what is currently on the computer screen.
