I would check all speaker connections and speakers, check the speakers with an ohm meter and compare the resistance with all matching speakers and on the nameplate if there is one, my amp did that last year and i found a burnt coil in one speaker ( center channel) hooked my old one back up and solved the problem for me. GOOD LUCK

Automatic muting turns sound off

fijate well in output impedance, which is correct and coupled to the speakers not less, because it causes protection to the team after that can work well.

How do i turn my sound up

The Windows operating system on your Toshiba laptop contains a functionality that allows you to increase the volume.

Your laptop's volume is a measure of the decibel levels of sound that your Toshiba laptop will put out.

If you are having trouble hearing music of video files, you may need to boost the sound volume, which can be accomplished by following several steps.

Press the "Start" button on your desktop.

Click on the "Control Panel" icon then double-click on the icon labeled "Sounds and Audio Devices."

Click on the "Volume" tab then move the device volume slider to increase the volume.

Close the "Control Panel" when you have completed the operation, and your volume should be louder.

Hope this helps.

"Protected" message and switchs off.

on most audio equipment when that happens there is either a short in speaker wiring, bad speaker,or something putting too much of a load or resistance on the amp. unit of your system. if all checks out ok there possibly internal damage.

I have a power acoustik ibm12000d amp had it installed to weeks ago wired at one ohm to a 15inch acoustik p3 sub worked good for to weeks hit good and everything but now its cutting off when turned up I...

Sounds like an over current condition. Your sub may be the problem. Does it go into protect mode when it cuts out? remove the sub and turn up the volume and see if it cuts out when you keep increasing the volume. If not, then it may be that the sub shorts out when turned up too much, kicking the amp into protect mode. If it still cuts out, then it may be the amp. Try another sub if you have one or borrow one from a friend.

Everytime i try to play my system at full volume it cuts out then keeps playing and carries on doing this to i turn it to a certain volume

First of all find out the recommended speaker impedance for the receiver. Then find out the impedance of the speakers you are using along with it.
Simple rule is the speaker impedance can be higher but not lower than the recommended value. If it is so the receiver will run hot and if you turn up the volume higher it will run even hotter and then the protection circuit will cut off the Amplifier output to prevent burn out of components. Even if you have one defective speaker this cut off can happen. To confirm defective speaker -- disconnect one speaker at a time and turn on the amplifier and play it at cut off volumes. If by disconnecting one particular speaker the Amplifier does not cut off -- THAT SPEAKER HAS A SHORTED COIL and needs replacement.

Running four S70 Siroccos off the amp, everytime volume gets halfway the protection is cutting in with protection light flashing three times? When reducing down to two speakers amp cuts out three quarters...

You are overloading your amp. IMO 640A cannot handle heavy loads.

Better change the speaker combo and connect something that puts right load on the 640A. Else, get a meaty amp from CA.

When I turn the knob to increase the volume, it goes up to three and drops back down to zero. It does this everytime I move the knob at a normal pace or faster. However, if I push the knob slightly in and...

It could be a safety protection meaning you could have a shorted speaker check all speakers and wiring, or it could be a defective volume control, try cleaning the volume with a contact cleaner spray you can find at any good electronic store (you normally have to open the radio to reach the POTENTIOMETER/VOLUME) to be able to spray inside it, than alternate (high/low) the control repetively to move/clean the volume's circuitry

Good luck!

Cannot increase the volume of my phone

Can you clarify. I understand you are unable increase the volume but does it say the volume is already up? If this is the case look to see if something is blocking the hole the sound travels through.

If you are unable to figure out how to increase the volume, try doing it while on a call. Some phones only allow the volume to be increased while on a call.

If you have additional info just reply.

Good Luck

Shuts off everytime i turn it up pass 4.

Speaker wire contact with each other is the problem. Check the back of ALL SIX speakers including sub-woofer. You should find wires contacting each other. Fix that and your problem will be solved.
