Not sure about Dopo but my Surface tablet has this problem at times and the solution is to press the start button at the same time as holding down the volume button. Hold for 10 seconds. Sounds weird but may be worth a try.
1st, try unplugging and repluggin both ends. If either one is loose, it won't charge. Then, I believe the DoPo tablets use the same cable that most cell-phones use - the micro usb connector. So, if you have one of those, check to see that it is the same as the cable that came with it then, try the cell-phone charge/cable. If that don't work, you may need to return to store.
Try to reset the phone. If it doesn't work, check all the sound settings and the sound button on side. If all of those don't work, try factory restore. If it still doesn't work, make reservation for Apple Store Guinness bar.
try turning the volume up. My iPad mini seems to have a lower volume level than my iPhones. The external speakers are almost inaudible unless turned way up, so I mostly use ear buds on it. But be careful using the earbuds! turn the volume down and gradually increase to a comfortable level,
Turn of you tablet then Hold the volume down and power button down at same time then when the little android guy with the box comes up push the volume up button then it should ask if you want to recover back to factory specs.
I have an Asus Transformer EeePad also. I have a sound control button on the outside edge, upper left. Press the top part of it for up, and the bottom end of the button for down.
Otherwise, go to "settings" "sound" "volumes" . There should be a list of 3 items, "Music, video games etc" "Notifications" "Alarms". Each one has a sliding scale of sound. You can slide the volume of each one individually with your finger, then touch "OK". I hope this is of some use to you.
I had the same problem before, it may need to charge but, your charger might be fried from having it plugged in too long... purchase or find a new charger for your product
