BenQ MP612c projector has three orange flashing lights

We turned on the projector for the first time and it worked. However, we failed to open the lens cover. So I think what happened is the guy opened the lamp cover and now it just has three orange flashing lights for the power/lamp/temp indicators. Help! Is there a way to reset? Nothing comes on--not the lamp or the fan.

You can go to the BenQ website and download a manual for your particular projector. It should tell you what the lights indicate.

Sorry I don't really have an answer I had the same issue with a Sanyo I had to keep putting back the old lamp and getting it to start on that one then shut down and swap, eventually it worked, it was a pain. in the end I bought an led projector for the price of a new lamp for the old one

When you replace the lamp you have to reset the hours menu on the lamp. It is found in the menu under settings.

you have a bad power supply. it cannot raise enough power to start up everything, so it shuts down. probably dried capacitors. to get a new one, try www.projectordoctor.com

BenQ PB8220 DLP projector - lamp button continues to flash after bulb replacement
Hello!

After 2 years I finnaly solved the problem. There was a flaw in the lamp´s temperature circuit. A technician disassambled my BENQ PB8253 unit and fixed the problem. Charged me US$ 75.00. I´m in Brazil.
