I lost my video card when I switched my hard drive out for a new one and am now trying to put in Windows 7. Everything died? I tried cleaning the cmos and taking out the mother board battery but still no luck, It all worked with XP before I swapped everything out, I probably should have un installed the video driver but forgot to do that , not I am with out any display what so ever? Argh!
SOURCE: No video etc.
on the motherboard will be a JBAT1 terminal with the jumper across pins 1-2, so put jumper on pins 2-3, then back to pins 1-2. If not JBAT1, then it may be a 2 pin terminal called CLRCMOS, of which you put a jumper across the two pins for seconds then remove. Although, i can't think of a way to update the bios without seeing whats on the screen.

I have had the same prob. with m2n-e Personally I brought my board into the local computer tech and asked him to test the board what he found out was that there was a cooling unit missing on the board wich cuased the board to overheat now whats this have to do with getting no video? simple it was the vga heat sink that my board was missing that cuased it not to work. I suggest you do what I did take the board in get it tested -
SOURCE: How to properly install Asus N6200 AGP video card
Set refresh to 60hz
Set color to highest position.
If this is an LCD, set it to the highest resolution
If this is a 15" or 17" CRT, set resolution to 1024x768.
If this is a 19" CRT, set resolution to 1280x1024.
Also, do not use the drivers on the CD. Go too nvidia.com and download the latest there.
Also, if you can get into the BIOS, try to disable the on board graphics if you see an option for it.

Hi, Im guessing that your motherboard has an intergrated video card & you installed the 9600 card into the opened AGP slot on the board. If you would have listed the model number of your motherboard I would't have to guess. What you need to do is enter your bios & make a change so your bios loads the AGP slot & not the intergrated video card. How to get into your bios? As soon as you turn on the Pc press the Delete key every two seconds. If your system fails to load the bios than you will need to try some of the others F keys. Let the PC finish loading. Re-start the PC. As it starts up try the F1 key every two seconds. Continue in this manner using these other F keys untill your system boots into the bios. F2, F10 or F12. One will work for you. Once in the bios use your manual if you have one. You are looking for Video display. You want the bios to load the AGP slot first, this will disable the intergrated video automatically. Your Pc will now see your 9600 video card & you will be able to load it's software. If the 9600 uses ATI's software you should update the Radeon software by going to ATI/AMD & update your video software with the latest drivers. Click the link I have posted below to upgrade your Radeon 9600XT card. Good idea to save the link.

i think the output for this vga is s-video cable...in my experience, if you connect the s-video cable to the TV with the support of s-video..it will automatically open at the same time with the monitor...is this what you mean? or else, try to explore in the bios setting if theres an option for video output enabling..jz try only my solution..if the same problem, give some more details.
