My belt start to run for a few seconds and than stops. Will not stay running Epic 425mx

My epic 6500 starts for a few seconds and turns off. With the filter light on. I take out the filter and it still does it. It only stays on if I cover the filter hole with my hand. Any solutions.

This happened to my treadmill. You need to get to the motor and see if the belt is fraying. If so, the fibers may have gotten entangled in the motor causing it to stay at the highest incline level. Once you clear this the treadmill will go up and down again. Hope this helps!

You will need to loosen the rear roller off 8-10 turns on both sides to reinstall the motor drive belt...

It sounds like you either have a loose walk belt or a slipping front drive pully. The walk belt shoould be tightened so that you can pull up on the edge of the belt about 2 inches. If that is OK, pull the motor cover, start the treadmill and walk trying to stop the belt with you feet. Watch the drive belt this time (the small one going from the drive motor to the front drive roller), if this belt stops, you need to tighten motor, or replace if it is older/wornout. If the drive belt keeps turning fine, watch the front roller and see if the pully connected to the drive belt keeps turning while the roller connected to the walk belt stops, if so you need a new front drive roller.

Check the motor belt tension and the walkbelt tension first. If iether is loose the walkbelt will stop.
