You can change your answering system message by pressing Menu (with the phone in standby). Then use the up/down arrows to select Answering Device and press Select. Navigate to Greeting Message and press Select again. Then navigate to Record Greeting. Use the up/down arrows to select Yes. Wait for the beep and speak your greeting. Then press Stop when your message is done; the system will stop recording after two minutes. Press Off to exit the menu system. Your greeting will be played if the Answering system is on and the greeting message time is not set to "Greeting Only". You can also access the Record Greeting sub-menu by pressing the following keys Menu # 3 0 2 .

On the handset, press # 3 0 2. Use up/down to select "Yes" and press SELECT. Record your greeting at the beep. Press STOP when done, then OFF.

Hi pililis_75 my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and Isee you wanted to record something and you had a message come up. If you see aprogram you like and start to record it and decide later while it's recordingyou want to stop it you should see a digit message come up on the top right of thescreen. The Message you should have seen would have been #312, it will ask youif you want to stop the recording to select Yes or Ok. If it will not let youstop the recording press and release the SAT button and then try to stop it. Ifyou have any other questions or concerns please let me know at [email protected].

Using a pre-recorded greeting
message
If you erase or do not record your own
greeting message, the unit plays a prerecorded
greeting message for callers
and asks them to leave messages. If the
message recording time (page 39) is set
to “Greeting only”, caller messages
are not recorded and the unit plays a
different pre-recorded greeting message
asking callers to call again.
Playing back the greeting
message
Press {GREETING CHECK}.
Erasing your greeting
message
If you erase your own greeting message,
the unit plays a pre-recorded greeting
message for callers.
Press {GREETING CHECK}, and then
press {ERASE} while your greeting
message is playing.
Listening to messages
using the base unit
When new messages have been
recorded, the message indicator on the
base unit flashes.
Press {6}.
L If new messages have been recorded,
the base unit plays back new
messages.
L If there are no new messages, the
base unit plays back all messages.

Display the folder o message in the folder that you want to erase.
Press Menu and select Erase by using up arrow down arrow and then press play stop button, the cursor moves to erase menu.
Press up arrow down arrows to select erases all the messages or message in a folder.
Press up or down arrow to confirm say yes and press play
Press stop to exit.

Although the instructions don’t make it clear, it seems to be important that the camera is turned off before you connect or disconnect the USB cable. The instructions do mention that you should not delete or rename files on the camera except in the EXT_MOV folder. The camera’s firmware is apparently quite fragile about file names and the presence of the extra hidden folders that both the Windows and Macintosh operating systems create when you delete something.
