I bought the TV on Black Friday in 2011 from Target. It has worked fine ever since I bought it. This morning I was playing a game on my XBox 360 without any issues. After finishing the game, I turned the XBox off and went to the shower. The TV eventually turned itself off from there being no signal from the external source. A few hours later after returning from the grocery store, I tried to turn it on to watch a movie and the screen would not turn on. If I hit the power button, the blue light would come up showing that it was powering up. Nothing else happens, though. If I push any buttons on the remote or side of the TV, nothing happens. There is no sound or picture. I cannot switch to another input (Component, TV, HDMI, etc.).
SOURCE: power button is green - no blinks / no picture / no sound
Unplug it from the wall, wait 2 minutes and plug it back in. if problem still exists, its probably the main pcb.
SOURCE: Can not access menu or input functions
Hi rduncan27,
I will be happy to help. 88% of LCD tv problems are with the backlight, the symptoms you described indicate a probable inverter malfunction.
Lets do a simple test to check the functionality.
Let me know your findings and we can proceed from there.

I can also see the input/volume screens if I put a bright light right up against the screen.
