You should be able to turn the keypad tones off:

Go to:

Menu;

Settings;

Phone Settings;

Phone Profiles;

'Normal' [providing your phone profile is set to 'normal'];

Now, scroll two places to the right until you are in the 'Phone sounds' tab. Select 'Keypad Tone' and turn it 'off'.

Hope that solves it!

How do I stop getting the black double letters when I try to type a message,I put my first letter in then it will say to or other letters so I can't do the message and have to clear it

Sounds like the unit is in Predictive mode; something that you might find as a texting feature on a cell phone. Predictive figures out what you might be texting and inserts it. I find it quite annoying. You may have to see if this is available in your unit.

Hi..
This means you have activated the keypad sound, its very simple to deactivate, just go to settings-> tone settings, there you will get the option like "keypad tones" or similar to this.. just select that and make it "off"..
Hope this will help you..

Samsung U900 Dictionalry

Hi,

I had this problem and it was very annoying. What you have to do is..... create a new text message, enter the text that is annoying (mine was is coming up as 47). When you type the word and it comes up with the annoying one, select the word that you wanted and enter a space, and do it again and again (you can do this in the same text message - it can take up to 20 goes and eventually, the dictionary recognises that you actually wanted "is".

How to delete a letter while writing a text message, also how to get rid of predictive text

it depends on your model number.
Usually you can delete a letter by hitting the clear key.
Usually you can change predictive text to standard by pressing and holding the 1 key, the * key or the # key.
