I have a UN19D4003 and it comes on by itself, runs for a few minutes, then shuts down. Sequience is shorter each time. Plug it in, it's starts up, runs for 2 minutes, shuts down. Few seconds later starts back up, runs for a minute, shuts down, now wait a bit longer it repeats, but runs shorter each time. Doesn't seem a capacitor would do this... The auto start up I mean.. Then again, I am here asking you!

You can also try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

hi there.your set needs four new capacitors fitting on the power supply.they are grouped together,if you take the back off,you will see they have domed out on the top,and may be leaking brown fluid.if you are reasonably handy with a soldering iron, replacement is dead easy.caps are only a few pence each, take note of the polarity when changing.this is a VERY common problem.
regards,steve.

Thank you for your comment. Question is, Is it truly the power side? When I disconnect the tuner side circuit, which removes all other functions & circuits, and power up, I light up the screen. Yes it's the back-light, but it doesn't shut down. First; should the back-light be coming on? Second; If so, then I think it's tuner side that has the short.. Third; If the back-light should not come on, then diffidently the power side.Cap's look good (tested), diode's are good (tested), transistors are good (tested)... Suggestions? Comments? Help??.
