Install tomtom software into your computer, connect tomtom to computer,use software and update...

Screen is goosed and needs to be replaced.
Backlight is toast

It appears that the map (validation/activation) has been lost / corrupted (damaged)... or the map hasn't been activated, or is not compatible with the navigation software installed on that GPS.

If the map file/data simply was corrupted, consider using your PC's Disk Utilities (or CheckDisk) to restore/fix the disk (or SD card). If you have a back-up copy of it, consider restoring it from backup.
If your TomTom GPS is new / still under warranty, contact TomTom support to have them activate it for you.

It sounds like the Car adapter is bad, try charging through the USB port on your computer to see if the unit charges. If it does you will need a new car charger - try ebay.

tomtom is the best in gps navigation, if tats not responsive, it might be problem in the gps, try formatting the device with tomtom one software.
If it doesn't work you got to take it to service centers, or can try online

repair both ...start fresh from start.....do a hard restart on the TomTom...this is located on the last menu of your tomtom...Factory reset...it will erase recent destinations and favorites....but it usually clears the tomtom....Now try to repair both the phone and the tomtom

i had same problem, change internal battery and you will be sorted
